Besides, when its time to get some food and drinks, you need to have your hands available to carry them to your seat. Nevertheless, and while compact binoculars should be taken into account for sporting events, make sure that they are not too compact. The reason is actually pretty simple and straightforward: most compact binoculars are lightweight. While this is great when you need to carry them with you, it also has a downside: you won’t get as clear as image as with larger binoculars. A good balance for binoculars to take to sporting events seems to be binoculars that have are between the 30 to 42mm range.

While when you are watching a rugby or horse races, it may start raining or you may simply spill your beer over them. With water proofing, you won’t need to worry about the binoculars being damaged. In what concerns to the rugged exterior, just think about the occasions where you get all those bumps while you are entering a crowded stadium. This rugged exterior will protect the optics of your binoculars.
